In a gluten-free diet, all foods that contain the cereal protein gluten are deliberately avoided. Gluten is mainly found in cereals such as wheat, barley and rye - and accordingly in all foods made with them: Pasta, bread, beer, etc.

While most people happily consume gluten without any problems, a gluten-free diet is necessary for people suffering from gluten intolerance, so called celiac disease - an inflammatory disease of the small intestine.

However, a first study also indicates a positive effect on the symptoms of endometriosis patients.

A kind FemXX reminder: Any restrictions should be in proportion to the possible health improvement. If you find it really difficult to give up certain foods, and at the same time are unsure about the positive effect of your diet on your Endo, consider consulting your doctor or nutrition coach again. Endo-fighters often have to live under enough restrictions, adding another one should not be done without reason!
